In 2007, the PCPFHF health center at Slaughter Elementary School began as a school nurse clinic in a new modular building purchased by the East Feliciana School Board. Today, the clinic has a nurse practitioner and social worker and provides primary care and mental health services to the students, parents, and faculty of Slaughter Elementary and the community.
