Certified Dental Assistant

RKM Primary Care is a Federally Qualified Health Center with 11 clinics in 5 parishes
Responsibilities:
· Greet and seat patients
· Take, record and report vital signs
· Review medical history and inform dentist of any changes
· Suction to help maintain a clear working field
· Hand dentist appropriate instruments during procedure when instructed to
· Dispose of biohazards and sharps in designated containers
· Give post-operative instructions to patients when instructed
· Chart pertinent notes per Dr. Dentist during exam
· Set up with materials and instruments prior to seating patient.
· Clean and disinfect operatory once patient is dismissed.
· Maintain and order dental supplies and materials.
· Maintain aseptic technique
Qualifications/Skills:
Dental Assistant Certification Required; EDDA preferred
Computer skills, experience with electronic health record a plus

Starting Salary Range: $12.94 – $21.38 per hour; up to 3% annual increases
