Qualifications/Skills:
Possess current License to practice as a Registered Nurse in Louisiana
BSN or MSN strongly preferred.
At least five years’ experience as a RN in a medical setting, preferably ambulatory care
Current BLS
Computer skills and experience with EMR; knowledge of ICD 9 & ICD 10 codes; data analysis & report writing skills
Supervisory experience, preferred.
Effective verbal and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills
Organized, detail oriented with time management skills
Job Duties:
Oversee and mentor medical assistants and nursing staff, at all locations, by providing/overseeing new hire training, preceptorship, and ongoing evaluation of competencies.
Organize and ensure training is provided to staff on new procedures, equipment, and best practices.
Assist in the development and implementation of clinical/emergent/infection control policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
Monitor patient care processes, clinic workflows for effectiveness. Implement quality assurance programs and collaborate with PI Committee to identify opportunities for improvement.
Monitor the utilization, purpose, safety, and effectiveness of medical supplies, equipment, and medications. Evaluate and provide recommendations to the administrative team/PI committee for continued or decreased use, elimination, or replacement.
Oversee vaccine program ensuring compliance with LDH guidelines.
Liaise with Providers, patients, or family members regarding patient health.
Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless patient care.
Utilize data to improve nursing practices and patient outcomes.
Audit patient charts to ensure documentation is accurate and complete.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to nursing staff.
Address staffing issues, such as scheduling conflicts or coverage needs.
Compile and review reports on patient care, staffing, and other operational metrics.
Prepare for any upcoming audits or inspections by ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate.

Starting Salary Range: $65,000 – 74,000; up to 3% performance-based annual increases
